New Roofs

We offer a complete replacement roof service – how do we do this?

First of all, scaffolding will be erected around your property to meet health and safety regulations. We carefully remove the existing roof covering, and cover the roof using a high performance breathable felt.

We then batten the roof, fixing on every rafter with galvanized ribbed nails. Afterwards, we tile the roof in the tile/slate of your choice. We can either use dry hips and verges or the most common choice, mortar. We always ventilate roofs accordingly and we’ll always endeavour to keep disruption to a minimum.

With the many different types of slates and tiles available, roofing slates are an attractive and easy way of retaining a natural look for the roof on your home.

Green Roofs

At James Roofing, we can supply and install sustainable green roof systems.

Green roofs are vegetated layers that sit on top of conventional waterproofed roof surfaces. Once established, a green roof can significantly reduce both peak flow rates and the run-off volume of rainwater from the roof compared to a conventional roof.
